Wordsworth's house is worth a visit, where he lived with his sister and later with his wife and his family. Such a pretty village with some sites unchanged from Wordsworth's time. You will be assigned a very knowledgeable guide who will answer all your questions. The garden is also beautiful, and it is worth visiting.

This is a great loop for less experienced hikers who don't want to scale multiple peaks. The road is well signposted, and you can reach a loop going down from the Tarn back to Grasmere via Upper Easdale. Enjoy especially the walk to the tarn, finishing off with a wild bath, highly recommended!

Stroll around Lake Grasmere, an impressive lake with ducks and swans that are a favourite attraction for children. Take a very relaxing boat ride, or if you prefer, you can also skirt it on foot. The fall colours are fantastic despite the bad weather. It is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Enjoy the Allan Bank house that will surprise you with its beautiful landscape; a house with history and above all with a lot of life. It is perfect for children, they can paint, watch birds and squirrels, and play. The garden is spectacular, the surrounding walk is impressive, and it is full of spectacular corners. Relax by reading many of the books at your disposal, or simply watch the red squirrels and birds feed in the garden. Also find time to explore forests and landscapes. And as always: the staff is super attentive. We are sure you are going to love it!

The road to Helm Crag is steep, but there are steps most of the way, for which is not too difficult to step on. The views from the top are fabulous. Follow the reviewers' instructions on free parking, you'll be happy to know what you can do from there. You will surely be eager for a drink at the end of the hike

Walk to the top of the Tarn in stages, as it is quite steep. The views of Grasmere, Rydal and beyond are incredible! We assure you that you will not have any problem downloading again. Sturdy walking shoes are a must. Well worth the effort

This is a beautiful church with a fascinating graveyard. The rough stone arches in the centre of the church support the fantastic wooden beams. The church community is also very welcoming to visitors wishing to attend Mass during a break in Grasmere

This is a wonderful gallery showing the artwork of Wilfred Heaton Cooper and the dome of his parents before him. Heaton Cooper's watercolours are extraordinary, but you can also really enjoy the photo exhibit that shows the 2015 floods and tells his story, a great place to relax too with the wonderful art store, art books, and the cafeteria.
