Exmoor National Park is a national park located on the coast from Devon and Somerset on the Bristol Channel in South West England. The park encompasses nearly 430,000 miles of rolling wasteland and 34,000 miles of shoreline. Exmoor is one of the oldest British national parks, it was founded in 1954, and takes its name from its main river, the River Exe. Several areas of the park have been considered sites of exclusive scientific interest.

The coast is a preferred site for adventurers, explorers and climbers, with large waterfalls and caves. Exmoor is known for its coastal forests, including the 10 miles of cliffs between Porlock and Countisbury, where trees reach down to the coast in some places. The South West Coastal Path, at 1014 km, is the longest national trail in England and Wales, starting at Minehead and running along the entire Exmoor coast.

Exmoor ponies are born between April and August, after a gestation period of 11 months. You can often see them in the higher parts of the moor, where they graze with their mothers. If you pay attention, you can also hear the peculiar sound of the Stonechat, a beautiful native bird that sounds like two stones hitting each other. You will cry with emotion when you know the fauna of the place!

This old 'clapper bridge' spans the River Barle, near Dulverton and Withypool. It has probably been around since the Bronze Age, but what is certain is that it has been kept there for thousands of years and is still in operation until now. It is 55 meters long, making it the longest such bridge in Britain.

This watermill dates from medieval times, was established here and has remained intact there ever since. It was recently restored, and you can see it now in full operation. This is the highest place in Somerset at 519 m above the level of the sea, in addition, is the point outside of Dartmoor in the whole of southern England.
