2. Take a boat tour to Coquet IslandAlthough you cannot step foot on the island, you can get on a boat trip from Able and enjoy birdwatching. Every spring, this little island is bustling with seabirds cramming here to breed. The popular puffins also known as the ‘clowns of the sea’, visit in and it is such a great view to enjoy.

Amble on two wheelsCycle along the coast and find some gentle cycling routes to pedal across forests, go past ancient sites or challenge yourself into demanding mountain bike tracks and venture into nooks that cars will never reach! As you take the Coast and Castle Route, you will enjoy fantastic sea views and great castles in different states of survival, plenty of coves and bays to make a stop and take a dip and beautiful islands in the distance. The most caught fish in this area is cod. Fishing Boats can be chartered from the harbour. They will take you to the fishing spots. Mackerel Trips are also a popular activity from June to September.
