Thanks to sites like the Sagrada Família, all the way up to Parc Güell – Barcelona is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Europe. Venture off the main roads a bit and find other treasures in the capital of Catalonia. In our travel guide you will find great things to do in Barcelona.

1. Hidden Gem Barcelona: El Carmel

The Bunkers del carmel offers one of the most breathtaking views over this Catalan city. Grab some food down in the city to bring for a little picnic up here. It can be kind of tricky to find, but persevere! Just take the bus 24 from Placa Catalunya to “Mühlberg” and ask people for directions. You might already see it as you approach.

4. Hidden Gem Barcelona: Sol Soler

If you stroll around the beautiful quarter of Gracia you should definitely stop by at Sol Soler. It is one of the greatest places to eat tapas. Make sure to try the traditional tapas such as tortillas, alitas de pollo (chicken wings) and patatas bravas (potato chips). The decor of the restaurant is pretty retro and nice. But we would of course recommend to sit on the terrace to enjoy your meal and soak up the great spanish atmosphere at the placa.
