In summer, it is one of the most popular spots on the northeast coast and is one of the best surfing beaches in the area, thanks to its powerful waves. Today this mile-long stretch of golden sand attracts people from all over the region for a variety of reasons, so you shouldn't miss a visit. The place has even been used as a training ground for the Newcastle United football team!
