You can enjoy spectacular heather clad hills and moorland scenery on one of the hiking trails on offer in Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd moorland plateau. The Light Spout Waterfall Walk is a gentle 2.4 km hike that takes you on a gentle ascent along a pretty stream to a four metre waterfall cascade. The Victorians called these falls a “miniature Niagara”! If you enjoy long hikes, the splendid 10 km Ratlinghope Ramble will take you across Long Mynd. Look out for gorgeous grazing ponies and stop at The Bridges pub to refuel en route!
