How to get there and get around Saint-BarthélémyThe narrow runway does not allow the landing of major airlines' aircraft. You will have to take a flight to Saint-Martin, the neighbouring island. Local airlines fly to Gustaf III airport in St. Barthélémy, 5 minutes from Gustavia. There is no public transport on the island, the only means of transport, with the exception of walking, is by car (several agencies have a counter at the airport), taxi and scooter. Cycling is reserved for the most sporty people who will not fear the island's mountainous terrain.
