It is considered the most important spiritual site in Oman, and it features incredible architectural design details. Entry is free, but you’ll need to dress appropriately, which means long sleeve tops and long pants for both men and women. Women will also need to cover their hair.

Shopping at a souq is an essential experience during a holiday in Oman. Browse the colourful bazaars which sell a variety of wares unique to Omani culture. Nizwa Fort is one of the most beautiful and oldest castles in the city. It is so large that you’ll want to spend at least an hour or two to see it all. There are several informational plaques throughout the building where you can learn different stories about the history of the place.
