Head to the Champagne Pools located along 75 mile beach on Fraser Island´s east coast between Waddy Point and Indian Head. The water in these natural pools formed by volcanic rock formations is renewed as successive ocean waves crash over the rocky barrier and the fizzing sea foam creates a jacuzzi sensation! This is a stunning, highly sought after, safe swimming spot as dangerous rip tides make swimming in the sea around the island unadvisable.

Head into the leafy green coolness of the beautiful Central Station Rainforest Trails where an incredible subtropical rainforest adventure awaits you! Try the fabulous 7 km Wanggoolba Creek Trail where you walk on a boardwalk that follows the bed of a beautiful creek surrounded by lush ferns, piccabeen palms, strangler figs and vines. You can stop to admire the largest fern fronds in the world here before arriving on the stunning shores of Basin Lake!

If you are a fan of beautiful ocean views you will love the breathtaking, sweeping panoramic vista of waves crashing on the pale sand shoreline, rolling dunes and lush island scrub vegetation. Hike 20 minutes over soft, dry sand at the northern end of 75 Mile Beach to scale Indian Head. This is a renowned lookout point for spotting spawning bluefish, manta rays, sharks, dolphins, whales and turtles!

The calm, shallow waters off the coast of Hervey Bay provide an incredible safe haven for humpback whales to shelter and rest after their long migration. It is not unusual for these gentle, inquisitive giants to approach really close to the boat providing you with a thrilling opportunity to see a tail flick or other whale acrobatics in the water!
