Santorini for beach lovers
There is no better way to enjoy Santorini's beaches than by immersing yourself in its beautiful blue waters and sunbathing on its unique sands. The island has many beaches such as Perissa, Monolithos, Agios Georgios, White Beach, Vlychada, Armeni and the list of Santorini beaches goes on! Most of them are distinguished from others in Greece by their shores covered with red and black volcanic pebbles. The most famous of them is the Red Beach located in the area of Akrotiri. It's a small beach with red stones and crystal clear waters perfect for swimming. Kamari is also another very famous beach in Santorini. It is located southeast of Fira and it’s distinguished by its black sands. The beach is organized so you will get sunbeds and parasols. You can also rent a Jet Ski from Perivolos beach to explore the deserted beaches, sea caves and see the huge cliffs. Perivolos not only has several water sports but also the Chilli Bar, a perfect destination for party people with an outdoor patio bar where you can enjoy a cocktail or a tasty meal after the beach. The best part is that you can get beachfront villas in Santorini, which allow you to be much closer to these wonders and have fun just a few steps away, while enjoying the most beautiful views you have ever seen. Another good plan for beach lovers is to take a ferry from Santorini to Ios, which will only take about 40 minutes, to get to know much more about these wonderful beaches, because you cannot leave Greece without seeing more than one of its islands, that's why we recommend our villas in Ios.
Santorini is home to one of the oldest lighthouses in Greece, The Lighthouse of Akrotiri, built in 1892.
