Ayia Napa hosts an annual festival for 3 days in Seferis Square, just opposite its monastery. The event draws locals and people from neighbouring towns and countries to listen to Greek pop. During the day, there are activities for children that can range from puppet shows to face painting. The fireworks show on the final night is the closure of three days of fun, activities and music. A refreshing day out splashing in one of Europe’s largest themed water park. WaterWorld is located about 10 minutes away from Nissi Beach and it is an Ancient Greece themed water park. The decoration includes Doric columns and statues all over the area. You can choose from 18 exciting rides including the Fall of Icarus, Apollo’s Plunge, and Phaeton’s Flume, an amazing slide with a big drop ending! The Trojan Adventure is a great playground pool for the little ones filled with soft toys. Danaides playground also is a safe space for children to play with water all day! Have some laughs at the Marathons Challenge. When you hear a horn, be quick! It is a cue to plunge into Poseidon’s Wave Pool!

Do you like singing? Just opposite the Nissi Beach Hotel, there is Gardens Bar, where people go to have a good time. Xan is the host and when he goes first on stage he's a Nissi Beach idol with his Elvis rendition! Join the fun and sing along to popular songs and sip some fabulous cocktails for just 2 euros. Night is young!

The best part of the day, after a refreshing shower is having a nice dinner out. Evenings are for taking it easy. Locals enjoy their dinners with no rush. Enjoy a nice meal at the tavernas behind the beach with the stars above your heads. If you have children, they can play in the playgrounds most tavernas have. Need a bit of fun after dinner? There are several bars to have a cocktail and listen to some music.

To dance the night away, Ayia Napa is the place to go. There are a handful of bars with karaoke and tribute bands or night clubs to stretch the night and dance to the beat. The Ayia Napa Strip is a square packed with different themed bars. The Ayia Napa Project Bar is one of the most popular pubs for party-goers. Dance the night away at the Soho Club, Club Ice or The Castle Club. Don’t let the party stop!

If you want to take a break from the sun or if the weather does not invite you to stay outside, go shopping in Ayia Napa. In town you can browse a clutch of shops where you will find unique gifts and souvenirs. Most shops are located on Nissi Avenue, including designer boutiques, shoe shops and jewellers at the Ayia Napa end. A bit of retail therapy and an ice cream or a coffee. Sounds like a plan!
