If you are in Korcula, you should not miss tasting Grk, one of the island's award-winning white wines that can be found nowhere else in the world. You can find it in the Lumbarda vineyards where this indigenous grape is grown exclusively. You will learn about the traditional machines and tools used to produce this liquid gold included in the list of Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) of the European Commission.

Marking the opening of summer, the Sword Dance Festival is a spectacle not to be missed if you find yourself in Korcula in early June. The dance takes place in the town of Korcula and tells the story of a kidnapped princess. After 20:00 pm on June 12th you can see sword dancers at the Moreska, Kumpanija or at the Mostra in Zrnovo. However, in the surrounding villages you can also see other dance styles. This is a perfect way to experience the culture and tradition of the island.

During the summer there are also a number of music festivals showcasing traditional Croatian folk music, baroque music and jazz played by local and international artists. Enjoy a stroll through the stone paths of the villages and accompany the music with a good dinner in a restaurant or a craft beer in a bar.
