7. Ria de Alvor: a natural gem

On the western side of the Algarve there is Ria de Alvor, a nature reserve with a stunning landscape extending for about 1500 hectares. Take a walk along the elevated wooden paths by the beach and the dunes and take in the views of this impressive wetland system with salt marshes and mud flats, home to multiple species and extensive flora.
