The 10 km Bude to SandyMouth Loop Walk takes in a section of the stunning South West Coast Path with shipwrecks and incredible rock formations to admire along the way! The beach boasts a wide arc of golden sand backed by sandstone cliffs and is a great beach for families at low tide and for surfers at high tide. On the north side of Summerleaze beach you will find a marvellous tidal swimming pool perfect for splashing about!

Head to charming Bideford, just 40 minutes east nestled at the Torridge River Estuary. From here you can take a boat to Lundy Island, a tiny 4.5 km offshore island where you can see puffins, seals, whales, dolphins, porpoises, rabbits, Sika deer, ponies and sheep! This gorgeous island is packed with listed buildings and thousands of seabirds in season and makes for an unforgettable day trip!

Spend a lovely summer's day rowing on Bude Canal, Bude´s picturesque, heritage waterway with plenty of options for canoe, kayak, pedaloe or bike hire for a lazy few hours meandering next to or on this placid, gleaming waterway. Follow the canal all the way to Bude Marshes where you will be able to see a host of beautiful waterfowl such as Canada geese and wading birds.

If you want a peak at the fascinating marine life that inhabits Cornwall's coastline, grab your nets, buckets and spades and head to lovely Crooklets Beach just 5 minutes from the centre of Bude where a wide section of soft sugary sand is exposed at low tide alongside rocky outcrops perfect for rockpooling adventures. This is a great surf spot and you can do a bit of fossil hunting here and hire a sand chair or a whimsical, colourful beach hut for the day!

Head to the beautiful National Trust village of Boscastle with it´s scenic harbour and ethereal Museum of Witchcraft for a unique peak at the history of magic in Cornwall. Be sure to spend some time on Crackington Haven beach, a perfect, secluded family friendly cove just 6 minutes from Boscastle!

Adventure awaits just 45 minutes south of Bude where you will find Bodmin Moor, a 128 square kilometre landscape of surreal, mystical, outstanding natural beauty. There are a myriad of walking routes amongst stark, lichen covered granite tors and beautiful expanses of open moorland populated by grazing livestock.
