Where should I stay for an Ibiza golf holiday?

The club is located on the outskirts of Santa Eulalia, a charming, upmarket resort town with great beaches for families. It's just 7 km from Ibiza Town, the capital of the island. You can stay in Ibiza Town if you'd like to enjoy some shopping, sightseeing or clubbing as part of your holiday. Another good option is the nearby beach suburb of Platja d'en Bossa, which boasts one of the largest beaches in Ibiza, and has excellent facilities for all kinds of water sports.

The 18-hole course

The highlight of the only golf course in Ibiza is this impressive 18-hole course. This par 72 course is renowned for its difficulty, thanks to a number of tricky obstacles. It's set in a rugged natural valley, with lots of narrow lanes that demand precision. Tactical golfers will have a great time here, with several holes that require careful consideration before teeing off. In particular, hole 7 has a steep, pronounced incline that you'll need to tackle, while hole 14 is set on a descending slope, which can be extremely tough to manage.

The 9-hole course

The Roca Llisa course, which covers 9 holes, is a completely different kettle of fish. If you're looking for golf in Ibiza that's suitable for all levels, then you'll want to tee off here. It's a largely flat, open course with well-signposted bunkers and hazards along the way. The terrain shifts as you move around the course: the first holes are marked by lots of trees, while the last few have several treacherous water hazards in the form of natural lakes.

Hoyo 19 restaurant

When you finish a round of golf in Ibiza, you may be feeling a bit peckish. Before heading back to your finca in Ibiza, stop at the club's Hoyo 19 ("The Nineteenth Hole") restaurant. This fine dining restaurant offers a mixture of traditional Mediterranean dishes and international options, with a particular emphasis on seafood. Don't miss the creamy rice, studded with the catch of the day, which makes an ideal choice to nibble on while you reflect on your golfing experience. You'll sit on a sunny terrace overlooking the golf course while you dine.

Kids' golf facilities

If you're on a family holiday in Ibiza, then bring the youngsters along for a day at the club. The 18-hole course will be far too demanding for most children, but there are kids' facilities that are great fun for all ages. Every weekend, the club holds its Children's Golf Academy, with classes for all levels. Private classes are also available. Book in advance for one of these sessions, which last 60 minutes at a time.
