There are plenty of ways for families of all ages to enjoy a holiday together in Overstrand. Families with kids should head over to Roarr!! Dinosaur Adventure Park for a fun-filled afternoon. This 85-acre dinosaur-themed park boasts a variety of life-sized dinosaur models, play areas, a high-ropes course, and more. BeWILDerwood Norfolk is another theme park for kids with shows, interactive games, and fun costumed characters.

Overstrand is a stunning area to play golf with several top-rated courses in the area. Royal Cromer Golf Club is just a couple of miles away from Overstrand and is set along the coast. The course is kept in good condition and boasts beautiful scenic views of the water. It’s considered one of England’s top golf courses designed for intermediate and advanced golfers, although novice golfers are more than welcome, too. The restaurant here serves delicious food if you’re feeling peckish after a round of golf. Also, be sure to check out The Links Country Park Golf Course, which is another excellent 9-hole course nearby.

The wide, sandy beach in Overstrand is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and long strolls. During low tide the shore becomes enormous, making it the perfect canvas for sandcastles and for children to run around to let out some extra steam. This beach is much quieter than the nearby Cromer beach which is usually crowded.

Enjoy a walk along the walking paths that go over top of the beach area along the grassy cliffs. The paths are nearly always uncrowded and offer stunning views of the wide sandy shores and crashing waves below! The cliffs are located to the west of the centre of Overstrand, just up from the beach.

If you enjoy walking, a nice walk is to start west along the shores of the beach, along the grassy cliffs, and up to the Cromer Lighthouse. While you can’t go inside the lighthouse, you can enjoy stunning views from the outside of the charming building.

Banksy’s original artwork in nearby Cromer is a bit of a treasure hunt to find because of its small size, but it’s well-worth the effort. Simply walk along Cromer Beach and be on the lookout for a cement retaining wall where you’ll find a mural spray-painted on the side. Ask around if you have trouble finding it!

The Bucket List Overstrand is an innovative take-away-style restaurant serving delicious buckets of chips with a variety of topping options. There is no seating, but the chips can be enjoyed on the nearby beach!

The small Overstrand Playground is the perfect place to let youngsters run around and play. There’s a slide, some swings, and a play area for small children to enjoy. You can relax on a bench while your young one runs wild!
