Go for a leisurely circular walk around Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast, where you can soak up the magnificent beauty of the area. You can also do a 6-mile circular walk around the Flamborough Cliffs area.

North Landing is a stunning beach with towering sea cliffs, caves, and turquoise waters. Go for strolls along the sandy areas of the beach and discover the rock pools during low tide. There’s a nice café here where you can enjoy lunch or dinner.

The Flamborough Lighthouse was built in 1806 and sits at the end of Flamborough Headland overlooking Bridlington Bay. From here you can admire spectacular views over the water and of the surrounding coastal cliffs and landscapes.

The towering sea cliffs and coastal landscapes at Thornwick Bay are not to be missed by any nature lover. The waters here are clean and clear, and perfect for a swim. Go for a walk around the bay to soak up the stunning beauty of the place. It’s a great place to walk with kids, especially during low tide when the rock pools are exposed.

This spectacular bay stretches for nearly a mile and boasts incredible cave and rock formations all along the way. Explore sea caves and white chalk cliffs. Snap some photos of the picturesque rock stacks and chalk stacks jutting out from the sea. There are loads of rock pools to explore here as well.

Run by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, this lovely centre is dedicated to educating the public on local marine life species. There are great interactive activities for children to enjoy here, including colouring pages, quizzes, and drawing areas. The friendly staff is eager to offer interesting tidbits about the sea life and marine habitats. There’s also a nice bird viewing platform here, and a walking path which leads to a beach.

If you happen to find yourself in Flamborough during the months of May or June, you’re in luck. The spring and early summer months are the best time to spot puffins at Flamborough Head, which also happens to be one of the best places to see puffins in the entire country. During these warm months, the cliff areas are brimming with thousands of seabirds, including gannets, gulls, and puffins, creating an incredible spectacle to behold.

Go for a walk at Flamborough Cliffs Nature Reserve and descend to the white stone beach area to try your luck at spotting grey seals swimming around the waters of the bay.
