The Natural Baths, on the site of the original Roman Bath, Just to the right of the Crescent you can see the former thermal bath called Cavendish Arcade that serves now as a speciality shopping arcade. By the arcade there is the Turner’s Memorial, erected in memory of Samuel Turner. Admire St Ann’s Well next to the Pump Room. The Children’s Well is at the entrance of the Spring Gardens, the Slopes are located in front of the Crescent and at the very top, you can see the impressive Town Hall. The Market Place, The Market Cross and St Anne’s Church are also important buildings worth seeing.
5. Go Ape!Do you want to enjoy a fun-packed day out? If your children are 10 years old with a minimum height of 1.40 m / 4 ft 7 in, you are ready for Go Ape, a fabulous way of enjoying an outdoor activity with the whole family. This is a fun experience up in the trees where you will be able to leap off Tarzan swings, fly across the woods with the zip lines and tackle some obstacles as you enjoy nature. 6. Go to Solomon’s TempleSolomon’s Temple is the popular name of Grin Low Tower. This monument is a characteristic landmark in the skyline above Buxton. This is a Grade II-listed monument that was erected in 1896 replacing the ruins of a former tower built by Solomon Mycock and after whom it is named. Atop Grin Low, this tower offers incredible views. Take a walk from Poole’s Cavern or Temple fields towards the woods, and it will take between 30 and 40 minutes to reach the top and get these fantastic views.
