It was built from 1077 under Prince and Archbishop Gebhard von Helffenstein, who enlarged and reinforced it with towers, walls and trenches. In the 15th century, the fortress was given its present appearance by Prince and Archbishop Leonhard von Keutschach, who decorated it in an exquisite Gothic style and made it habitable. The Swarovski fine jewellery company is owned by the renowned Daniel Swarovski who opened in 1895 and to celebrate the centenary of the brand the artist André was commissioned to design a museum with fourteen chambers of wonders based on the shape of a giant. Inside the gallery there are 17 exhibition spaces and each artist, architect or designer has a chamber of wonder in which they use the crystals for their own thematic focus
6. Admire the most beautiful Krimml FallsAt 380 metres high they form the highest waterfall in Austria. The falls are formed by the Kirmmler Ache river and are located in the village of Krimml in the state of Salzburg. It has three levels, descending from the river 140 metres, in the middle part 100 metres and at its last drop 140 metres to the river Salzach. The upper part of the waterfall can be seen by entering the access road from the town of Mittersill
7. Chillon CastleA Swiss fortress with medieval origins on the shores of Lake Geneva with a very peculiar shape, oblong, 25 metres high and 50 metres wide, it has been preserved since the Bronze Age. Since the Bronze Age, it has been an important defensive fortress, which was later fortified by the Romans. It is a historic monument for the country, whose halls served as a source of inspiration for the English poet Byron. It is worth noting that it did not only inspire Lord; from the 18th century onwards it attracted the most romantic writers of the time from Jean-Jacques Rousseau to Victor Hugo, so much so that the latter said: "Chillon is a massif of towers on a massif of rocks". Today, the Gothic style area is the best preserved part of the château.
