Casa do Pombal is a restored rural house set in a quiet rural area and is ideal for families and groups of up to eight people.

The property includes a traditional Madeiran house with stone walls, a swimming pool, veranda, terrace, garden, portable barbecue, car park and other facilities.

The swimming pool is private and exclusively for guests of the house.

The house is 156 m2 and comprises four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen.

It is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, cooker, microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international and children's channels, and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxing stay.


LOCATION

The property is in a rural area near the town of Calheta, where there is a beach and several restaurants and cafés.

Calheta is located in the south-western part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

In the vicinity it is possible to practice various outdoor activities, such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

There is a grocery store and cafés within walking distance. Supermarkets and restaurants are available within a few minutes' drive.

The property has easy access to the main roads.


PLEASE NOTE

A car is recommended, but there are bus stops nearby. There is free parking at the property or on the street.

The swimming pool is not heated but is open all year round and can be used whenever the weather conditions are favourable.

Because it is a rural area, there is potential for noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties. There are also insects in the vicinity that can be attracted by food waste.

Cleaning is done before guests arrive and then a weekly maintenance clean is carried out, which includes changing bed linen and towels.


CONDITIONS

1. Parties and behaviour that disturbs the peace and well-being of neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10pm and 8am when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, the time of arrival and the means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival times is available via a key safe whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For face-to-face check-in, an appointment is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be booked according to our availability.

4. Guests may be asked to present identification upon arrival and to provide missing identification data to fulfil legal requirements.

5. Guests must inform us of any allergies, conditions or special needs before or immediately after booking in order to verify compliance and appropriate measures can be taken.
