This cute little cottage, all on one level, is in some of the Wales’ finest scenery. Walks a plenty from here but also if you are looking for a spot to sit in read a book and reflect, there is no better location. A great place to relax. Lake Vyrnwy is close by and so too is Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall (one of the great wonders of Wales). 14 Miles from Oswestry, Welshpool and Bala. The owner, living next door, has done her very best to ensure you will want for nothing during your stay and you will always be greeted with a smile! We particularly recommend having an evening glass of wine on the private terrace which enjoys superb views of the Tanat Valley. The coast of Barmouth and Porthmadog is under an hour away. You can even bring your horse!


Sitting room

Cutely decorated open plan with kitchen. There is a log burner for the cooler winter days. Seating for all guests and a TV. Two small sofas so there is plenty of room for you both to curl up on your sofa in front of the fire!


Kitchen / dining

No kitchen has better views! Well equipped kitchen, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, electric oven. The dining area is in the kitchen with table and chairs to seat all guests.


Cinema Room

We think this room is great! There is a large projector, so if you don’t fancy going out or the weather is a bit iffy, The Retreat has its very own cinema room (Complete with popcorn!).


Bedroom

Large double bed with views stretching out over the valley. There is a small dressing table and wardrobe space and an en suite shower room.


Shower Room

The ensuite shower room has a large power shower, WC, basin.


Outside

A generous decking area surrounds The Retreat offering comfort and privacy. There is also an outside sitting area at the end of the property.


Heating


Electric Radiator, log burner (logs and coal supplied). Air con is included in the hot months if required.


Parking

Off road parking right next to the house for 2 cars.


Important info

The Retreat is in close proximity to a farmyard. We would asks all guests who bring their dogs with them to keep them on a lead at all times around the yard as there is livestock.
