This is a beautiful cove that belongs to a series of beaches in the eastern part of Alonissos. Of the entire selection, this beach is undoubtedly one of the best, not only for its incredible blue waters and soft white sands, but also for its impressive vegetation. The latter includes a beautiful olive grove on the edge of the beach, as well as wild gardens where you can find lavender and fresh thyme. Despite its size, this island is home to many dive centres that will give you a wonderful underwater experience. You can choose from the four main ones: Blue Dream, Triton, Seacolours and Ikion, all of which have highly qualified and certified professionals who will take you to the depths. You will descend approximately 40 metres into the water, where you will see a variety of marine gardens, home to an incredibly diverse and colourful ecosystem.

If you come to Alonissos in July, don't miss the Threshing Festival. Its creation was basically to preserve the old traditions of the town, in this case that of threshing. On this day, you can watch the process of separating the grains, how it is processed and finally, how it is used to make a variety of dishes that you can try here. Not only that, but there is also live music, traditional dances and other fun activities to pass the time and learn a little about the culture of Alonissos.

Today the village of Patitiri is the main village on the island, but this was not always the case. Until 1965 the capital was the village of Chota, but after an earthquake in that year, the inhabitants left this small community. Today it is an attractive tourist spot, as the traditional buildings of the time, with beautiful white balconies and terracotta roofs, are still preserved. It is mainly artists who have made this town rise from the ashes because here you will find many galleries and art centres, so don't miss a visit.

In Alonissos there is a large marine area, of such great ecological importance that it is protected by Europe. It covers approximately 1404,299 miles in length, where you can admire the incredible habitats that live there. One of its most prized treasures is the Mediterranean monk seal, which is a species safeguarded by the park to prevent its extinction due to tourist encroachment. Only one zone of this park is destined to visitors, which is zone B, since zone A is reserved exclusively for scientific research.
